So, I can't really complain because everyone has been super nice and professional...except for one guy I hung up on after he put me on hold and didn't come back......but I'm getting tired of not having a phone.

I've had a cell phone for about 9 years. Got one in high school and have just had one ever since. For the past week, due to Verizon mishaps, I've been phone-less. It's not a big problem, it's just odd.

I'm in a dress mood lately, I blame you and your pretty skirts, Matteo.

EDIT: After looking at the video for the chameleon dress it doesn't look difficult at all. I just need some basic knowledge of clothing construction and I bet I could make it.

Phrassie, when you and Tom are all settled back in Vancouver, if Tom has access to a woodshop, do you think he could/would mind teaching me some things? I'm going through a seriously painfully crafty stage in my life, and I'd love to know how to work with wood. This is a no pressure request and I'll probably take a class eventually, but if he's willing that'd be exceptionally awesome.

Anyone interested in taking a glass fusing class with me at the Aquila glass school (http://www.aquilaglassschool.com) in NE Portland sometime next month? They offer that particular class on Saturday the 8th and the 22nd 10am-1pm. At least those are the times I can attend. It costs $99, but then you have free pass to use their open studio time. You're supposed to put $25 down to reserve your spot, but if I can get someone to go with me, I'll cover both of our deposits.

There is another class I'm a little more interested in and that's the Intro to Borosilicate (aka Pyrex glass). And that one's not offered until Wednesday September 16th 6-9pm.

I just spent a couple of hours seriously looking into attending a university in Australia. It's got one of the best school for religious history, and, well, it's Australia. It's be $30,000 a year with living expenses if I live on campus. Which doesn't seem like that much....until I think about being in debt that much since I won't be working much.


I can't quit my job and just make stuff for a living. Which makes me sad.

I am so completely restless in my life right now. I need to get away. Somewhere. anywhere. Half tempted to ask an east coast friend if I can come stay with her for awhile, but I have little to no savings in order to even get away without a job already lined up.

*sigh* I hate when I get like this.

When I donated to OPB during their last drive I chose the new Decemberists' cd as my thank you gift. It came in the mail yesterday and I've been listening to it. It's their style with a bit more rock thrown in, which I approve of. And I have a new crush on Shara Worden's voice.

I desperately want to be more artistic, more creative. I was given a fantastic treat yesterday by the wonderful woman who makes fantastic earrings for glass heart studios (she's on etsy, look her up.) She let me come in and watch her make one of the pair of earrings that I purchased. I'm seriously contemplating taking some classes at the Aquila Art School that's in the same parking lot and Annemarie said if I wanted to just play around I could come in to her studio. And I've always wanted to take some ceramic classes. When I finally get a house I want to have a whole studio with potter's wheel, and some woodshop tools (or at least access to one).

Ugh...I need to start something other than knitting(yes, knitting can be artistic.)

Does anyone have a good recipe for bagels? I love them, but every brand that I look at has HFCS in it.....which I do not love.

I finished this term of school on Sunday. So that's fantastic. Three A's and one B or C. Technically it's a C, but she said she'd curve the grades at the end and it might go up to an B.....First time in a long time that I've gotten so low of a score. Individual income tax is a horrible class to take online, especially when you can't see the answers to the test, just the score. Funny considering I took Ind Income Tax like three terms ago at PCC and got an A. Ah well, whatever. With a C I never have to take it again, it just hurts my gpa a bit, and I have to pay for the class. But I know I won't be graduating with honors from EOU anyways because you have to take specific honor classes. So really, as long as I pass it doesn't matter.

Work is picking up. More than I'd like. And I might be heading to southern Oregon this weekend for not fun times.

crazy day.

I'm on new medication to try and figure out this headache situation. On week three and I just upped the dosage on Saturday. I feel horrible. I'm tired, my stomach is upset, I'm achy like I have the flu, and I still have a headache. Plus, I'm getting a pins and needles sensation in my hands and feet periodically which is unsettling.

I'm supposed to go back at the end of six weeks, after doubling the dosage again. However, if I still feel like ass at the end of four weeks I'm going to go back then.

I really don't have the time to be going through this right now. I'm so slammed with work and school.... *sigh*

omg I have so much crap to do for school!

Actually starting to freak out a little because my weekend was not nearly as productive as it was supposed to be.

I was sent up to our Tacoma office today. And I'll be here until Friday.....not really how I had planned my week.
